On Monday 12th November some of our pupils visited Keele University for the Shaw Education Trust Graduation Ceremony for Key Stage 3 pupils.

Remembrance Ceremony

On Friday 9th November staff and pupils took time to remember and honour those who have sacrificed themselves to secure and protect our freedom.

MacMillan Coffee Morning

This year’s MacMillan Coffee morning was hugely successful with £570 raised for this very worthy cause.

Macmillan Coffee Morning

A group of year 10 pupils are hosting a Macmillan Coffee on Friday 28th September.  This event has been organised by year 10 pupils who are studying for the Princes Trust award and they are selling cakes and coffee as well as running a raffle.

Spotlight on Attendance – Update

From our Spotlight on Attendance campaign in March 2017 the following results were:

  • A Year 8 student was issued with a fixed penalty notice. This was not paid and parent(s) were taken to court where the cost went up from £120 to £300 plus.

Pupils earn praise from business leaders

Attendance Bulletin

The Academy has appointed a new member of staff from 10th January 2017, Miss Martin our Attendance Co-ordinator. She will be working with families/students to improve school attendance and begin legal proceedings when necessary for non-attendance.
